The AHA 2020 Online Key HeartCode® BLS provides students access to the AHA blended-learning BLS course. This course is designed for healthcare professionals and other staff who need CPR and basic cardiovascular life support knowledge in a facility and prehospital setting. This key unlocks a self-paced online learning course with a hands-on instructor-led session. HeartCode® BLS uses a variety of eLearning assets in the online portion, such as dramatizations, eSimulations, animations, self-directed learning, and interactive activities to teach students BLS knowledge and skills. The instructor-led course focuses more on meaningful skills practice, debriefing, team scenarios, discussions of local protocols, and skills testing. The online portion can be completed in approximately 1 to 2 hours. Access codes are provided via email within 24 hours for orders placed Monday–Friday (7:00 am–4:00 pm ET); orders placed after Friday 4 pm ET will be fulfilled Monday morning. As a digital product, it is non-returnable and non-refundable upon activation.

  • Recognize when CPR is needed and initiate clean, effective compressions
