- Demonstrate understanding of the core competencies of an AHA Instructor
- Apply the 5 steps of the AHA Instruction Cycle: Prepare, Teach, Test & Remediate, Close, and Keep Current
- Recognize key resources available to AHA Instructors
- Use discipline-specific Instructor materials, including manuals, lesson plans, course videos, and skills checklists
- Identify various course delivery formats and completion requirements
- Explain the flexibility options available within PALS courses
- Describe requirements for maintaining Instructor status
- Demonstrate prebriefing and structured debriefing techniques
- Apply effective feedback and remediation strategies for learners
- Administer skills testing using checklists
- Explain the role of a CPR Coach and the importance of chest compression fraction
- Facilitate student learning and testing stations effectively
- Lead case scenario-based skills testing in PALS
